The stuff carriers actually ask

No jargon, no dodging. If your question isn't here, just reply to any of our emails.

I already use an accountant.

Great — keep them. We just do the IFTA grunt work so you're not paying $200/hr for data entry. Plenty of carriers hand our finished return straight to their accountant.

I use IFTA software already.

Software still makes you sort the receipts and reconcile the mileage. We do that part. You just review and sign.

How do I know it's right?

Every return comes with the full per-jurisdiction breakdown and a complete, audit-ready record set. We also flag anything that looks off — missing receipts, odd MPG — before you file, not after.

You're the filer of record, so you always review the finished return before anything is submitted. Tax rates change every quarter; we note the rate matrix used so you can verify against the official IFTA, Inc. figures before filing.

Are you a CPA? Is this legal?

We're a filing-preparation and record-keeping service — not a CPA firm or a law firm, and we don't provide tax or legal advice. We prepare your IFTA return and records from the data you send.

You review, sign, and remain the filer of record — exactly the same as if you'd used a bookkeeper or software to assemble the numbers. Using a preparation service is completely standard for IFTA.

What do I actually need to send?

Two things: your fuel receipts (photos, a CSV, or a fuel-card export) and your mileage (ELD/GPS export or trip sheets). That's it — see How it works for the detail.

What does "4-year audit-ready records" mean?

Under IFTA, the licensee (you) must keep the records behind each quarterly return for four years, in case your base jurisdiction audits you. We assemble and organize those records — the per-jurisdiction work-up, mileage, and fuel detail — into one set so the evidence is ready if you're ever asked. The records are yours to keep; we don't replace your obligation to retain them.

What if I'm missing a receipt or some mileage?

Send what you have. We'll reconcile what we can and flag exactly what's missing before anything is filed — so you're fixing gaps up front, not explaining them to an auditor later.

How fast do I get it back?

Usually within one business day of receiving your complete records. If something's missing, the clock starts once we have what we need — we'll tell you right away if there's a gap.
